TRG NAMES ETHAN BUYON TO LEAD
EXPANSION OF NEW YORK OFFICE

BOSTON, Massachusetts-Jan. 27, 2004: TRG, a national turnaround consulting firm, announced today that it has named Ethan Buyon principal in charge of its New York office.

TRG opened its New York office in 2002 to work more closely with the New York financial community and build on the firm's growing consulting relationships in the region. As demand has grown for financial advisory and recapitalizations, the firm's New York work has focused on restructurings for middle market distressed businesses, including creditor financial advisory services, wind-down and liquidation and turnaround management.

"Ethan's addition to our leadership team adds another important component to our restructuring expertise in New York and enhances our ability to offer advice that is informed by our extensive turnaround experience," said Stephen Gray, TRG founding principal. "His broad experience in fixed income and equity capital markets, acquisitions and divestitures, strategic planning and operational assessment strengthens our offering of comprehensive services to the financial institutions, corporate and bankruptcy attorneys and private equity sponsors who refer us to their clients."

Mr. Buyon, 49, brings 23 years of experience in corporate restructuring and investment banking to TRG. He has extensive transactional expertise in fixed income and equity capital markets, acquisitions and divestitures, strategic planning and operational assessment and review. He has served as an advisor to both debtor and creditor constituencies. In his capacity as a debtor advisor, Buyon has served as a CRO and has performed complex valuation analyses, marketed corporate businesses and assets under section 363 and out of bankruptcy and has served as an expert witness. Prior to joining TRG, he served as a Managing Director for Crossroads, LLC in their restructuring practice and coordinated their efforts in the media and telecom, technology and energy sectors. Previously, Buyon was a Director at TD Securities, the investment banking arm of the Toronto-Dominion Bank where he specialized in the origination and execution of senior debt, high yield and M&A in the media, telecom and technology and energy groups. In addition, Ethan was responsible for the workout of several of the bank's troubled media and telecom credits. Ethan holds an MPPM from the Yale School of Management and a BA from Boston University.

Now in its 22nd year, TRG is a leading provider of turnaround, crisis management, financial advisory and wind-down/liquidation services to distressed mid- to large-cap businesses, their creditors and investors. Headquartered in Boston, the firm maintains offices in Charlotte and New York, providing its services nationally to a wide variety of industries.
