Michael J. Epstein
Michael has nearly 20 years experience serving
as a consultant to and operating manager for companies experiencing financial
challenges due to under-performance as well as cash flow constraints.
Prior to joining TRG, Michael was CEO of CFS Americas, a subsidiary of
CFS Group plc (now IDS Group), a world leader in asset-based financing
software and sat on CFS Group's Board of Directors. In his role as CEO,
Michael was responsible for implementing the operating infrastructure
for North America as well as developing and integrating CFS' North American
acquisition strategies. Previously, Michael worked with Gray & Company,
the predecessor to TRG. His client focus included restructuring and refinancing
operating businesses.
Michael's recent engagements have included Turnaround Advisor for a $150M
specialty retailer, Chief Restructuring Officer for a $150M national provider
of management training and HR-led services, Financial Advisor to a multi-bank
consortium for a $400M telecommunications and CATV distributor, Agent
for the Liquidating Supervisor of a $400M national leasing and financial
services enterprise and Financial Advisor for a $150M shareholder proxy
services. Industries in which he has worked include e-commerce, consulting
services, high technology, telecommunications, distribution, printing,
financial services, retail and food service.
Michael holds a BS from Tufts University and an MBA from The Wharton
School at The University of Pennsylvania.
